BLUEBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE


  • 1/3 cup GERBER 100% Fruit Juice Pear, chilled
  • 1 container (3.5 ounces) GERBER Graduates® Yogurt Blends Mixed Berry, chilled
  • 2 tablespoon GERBER Oatmeal & Banana Cereal
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ¼ of a banana
PLACE juice, yogurt, cereal, blueberries and banana in a blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

  • ½ cup frozen mixed berries
  • ¼ of a banana

PLACE juice, yogurt, cereal, mixed berries and banana in a blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

MINI MEATLOAVES WITH VEGGIE GRAVY

  • ¼ cup, plus 2 tablespoons GERBER Oatmeal Cereal
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons GERBER 2nd Foods® Garden Vegetables OR GERBER 2nd Foods® Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

WHISK cereal, garlic and egg. Add beef and mix well with hands to combine. Form into 12 equal size balls and then mold into mini rectangular loaves.
HEAT oil over medium heat in a medium skillet. Add mini meatloaves and cook 30-40 seconds per side or until lightly golden on all sides. Remove from skillet to a serving plate.
BRING water to a simmer in a separate medium skillet. Add mini meatloaves and increase heat to medium. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from cooking liquid and turn off heat.
Add Garden Vegetables OR Mixed Vegetables and ketchup to pan juices and stir to combine.
Pour over mini meatloaves.
TEST temperature before serving.

TIP: ADD HERBS AND SPICES THAT YOUR LITTLE ONE LOVES TO THE MEAT OR THE SAUCE. IF YOUR CHILD
DISLIKES SPICES YOU CAN EASILY OMIT THEM.

APPLES AND BANANAS COOKIES

  • ½ cup GERBER Oatmeal & Banana Cereal
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 container (3.5 ounces) GERBER 2nd Foods Apples
  • ½ of a ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 large egg

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE cereal, flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Beat butter, apples and banana in a medium mixing bowl until well combined. Add egg and beat well. Gradually beat in cereal mixture. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
BAKE for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
TEST temperature before serving.

STORE in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
TIP: BOOST FLAVOR TO THESE COOKIES BY ADDING CINNAMON, NUTMEG OR ANY SPICE YOUR LITTLE ONE LOVES!
