We are so lucky to have an honest to goodness, old fashioned neighborhood Toy Store right here within a short driving distance! The TOY BOX in Ligonier, has been serving the needs and wants of children in Western Pennsylvania and beyond since 1987!
With two young sons of her own at home, and a newly earned bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, young mother Catherine Crawford had the vision and foresight to turn an 1851 Victorian house into a fantasy land for children!! With the help of family and friends, the old house became the go-to place for toys from our past as well as toys for kids now!
6 rooms are jam packed with trains, dolls, stuffed animals, puppets, craft items....just about anything you can imagine! She carries all of the best quality toys from the most trusted names.
There is a train room with the crew from Thomas the Tank Engine, an "Indoor Forest", a nursery full of preschool aged toys, and so much more. You'll find Brio, Lego, Playmobile, Madame Alexander...and if it's not there, she'll be able to help you find it.
