Cupid’s Garland

(ages 6+)

By Karen Brody and Scholastic Parent & Child magazine February 10, 2011

Materials:

Red construction paper
Paper doilies
Red and white felt
Tacky glue and glitter glue
Glittery heart-shaped stickers

Steps:

Fold a long sheet of construction paper like an accordion and cut out a heart shape with a tab on the fold side. (The tab is where the hearts will connect.)
Cut heart shapes out of the felt and glue them to the doilies.
Glue the doilies to the heart garland and decorate using the glitter glue and stickers. Allow to dry.

TIP: Turn your garland into a valentine by writing a message on it, folding it back into an accordion, and popping it into an envelope.
