Yogurt Covered Blueberries on a Stick

By Julie Follansbee, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Johnstown/Laurel Highlands/Altoona, PA July 6, 2017

These blueberries are great for cooling off all summer, and if you dip some strawberries too, you'll have a fun, patriotic treat!

Ingredients:

  • Blueberries
  • Greek Yogurt (we used vanilla flavored, but you can use whatever you like)
  • Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
  • Parchment paper
  • Shallow pan with a lip

Directions:

1. Wash and dry blueberries.

2. Thread 4 berries onto the very end of the skewer. Leave about an inch to hold and cut skewer. Thread 4 more berries, leave an inch and cut. Continue this way until you've used the whole skewer. Make sure ends are smooth if little ones will be eating them.

3. Put about 1/2 cup of yogurt in a shallow dish. Roll berry skewers to cover. Lay on parchment-lined pan. Let freeze at least an hour.

Experiment with other fruits and flavorings! These are so easy and open to variation.
