September 14-15, 2019
I wait for this festival every year! This is the place where experts come to see how real Flax Scutching is done! Flax Scutching is the process of turning a plant called flax(a stalk type grassy looking plant with a charming blue flower) into fabric called linen! Despite the smaller size of this fair, it celebrates the area's heritage and pride. Buchwheat pancakes, Indian raid reenactment and civil war encampment, games, crafts, food and music! A MUST!!!
Who
Everyone...not just fiber lovers!
Cost
$4 per person admission to the groundsHow
No reservations required.
